Since 2019, Croatia’s Wine Law officially recognizes four magnificent wine regions, each shaped by unique landscapes and microclimates. Our country’s natural wealth of mountains, forests, rivers, and extensive Adriatic coastline creates countless terroirs that enable Croatia to produce nearly every style of wine.

Slavonia and Podunavlje

The wine region of Slavonia and Danube differs little from the geographical area of the region itself. It is located in the most agriculturally developed part of Croatia, and is bordered by real wine meccas – Kutjevo, Đakovo, Orahovica, Slavonski brod and Iloka.

Istra and Kvarner

Istria is one of the two coastal wine regions in Croatia. It is located in the northern part of the Croatian Adriatic and includes the vineyards of the Istrian peninsula, the island of Krk as well as the islands of Pag, Lošinj, Rab and Cres and the Rijeka area.

Hillside Croatia

According to the Wine Act, Bregovita Hrvatska is one of the four Croatian wine regions. We are talking about central and northwestern Croatia – an area that includes Međimurje, Zagorje, Prigorje, Plešivica, and Moslavina.

Dalmatia

Dalmatia is a renowned wine region located in the south of Croatia. Its position allows it to treat every guest to incredible views of the Adriatic Sea, as well as to the densest and strongest Croatian wines.
