Baraka Winery

Baraka Winery, a family-run boutique winery located on the Srima Peninsula near Šibenik and Vodice, preserves the tradition of viticulture in a unique landscape interwoven with dry stone walls. Founded by Filip Baraka, the head winemaker, it focuses on producing premium wines that reflect the terroir of Dalmatia. The main vineyard, Prisbus, is situated on the winery’s estate within a culturally protected landscape featuring more than 1,000 kilometers of dry stone walls. Surrounded by the Krka River estuary, the Adriatic Sea, and the St. Ante Channel, this location provides ideal conditions for cultivating varieties such as Babić, Plavina, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot. The second vineyard, Gracini-Krčulj, located in Primošten Burni, is steep and rocky, creating exceptional conditions for growing Babić. Although wines from this extreme vineyard have not yet been released for sale, the winery is confident they will faithfully reflect the terroir and the dedication invested in their creation. At the Luša site, on a hilltop above Morinje Bay, the elegant Babić Luša is cultivated, while an ecological approach to viticulture—without irrigation and herbicides—ensures sustainability and quality. The winery offers five labels of red wines and five labels of white and rosé wines. Among them, Prisbus 2016 stands out as a powerful Bordeaux-style red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. In addition to vineyards, the winery maintains an olive grove with 400 trees and Mediterranean herbs, creating a natural ecosystem. The cellar combines traditional and modern winemaking methods, including extended maceration and fermentation with stems, giving each wine an authentic character. As part of the winery, visitors are offered a unique wine-tasting experience, where they can sample premium wines accompanied by an expert-led presentation of the grape varieties, terroir, and production process.
