Brne Winery

For generations, the way of life of the Jadrijević family from Primošten, known by their family nickname Brne, has been inseparably linked to working the land. Cultivating soil, growing grapevines, and olives have been the foundation of the family’s survival, even in the most challenging times. Ante Jadrijević Brne, born in 1930, began his journey in viticulture at just seventeen. Later recognized as a skilled winemaker and vintner, he dedicated ten years to preparing the land and planting around 3,500 Babić vines—choosing this indigenous variety for its resilience and adaptability. Today, the fourth generation of the Jadrijević family continues the century-old tradition of viticulture, winemaking, and olive growing. Their Kremik vineyard, where a well still stands with the year 1920 engraved, is a testament to their deep-rooted passion for the vine. With great care and dedication, they cultivate vineyards in the prestigious locations of Bucavac and Kremik. Their offering includes a single wine label—Babić Brne, made exclusively from grapes grown in their own vineyards. This indigenous wine boasts rich fruit aromas and a distinct expression of terroir. Alongside their premium wine, the Jadrijević family proudly produces high-quality extra virgin olive oil.
