About winery
Buljat Winery is located in Suhovare, a small Dalmatian village about 15 kilometers northeast of Zadar. The family’s winemaking tradition has been nurtured for generations, and in 2012, the winery was founded with the goal of creating wines that reflect the spirit of the Ravni Kotari region. Over the years, the vineyards and production techniques have been carefully refined, while core values have remained unchanged – respect for the land, dedication to hard work, and a commitment to excellence. Every step of the process, from tending the vines and harvesting to crafting the final product, is carried out by the entire Buljat family, led by owner Darijo. Each bottle tells a story of tradition and deep passion for winemaking. The winery produces 20,000 liters of wine annually and offers seven labels. The selection includes white wines Maraština and Chardonnay, red wines Soare, a blend of Plavina, Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cuvée, a blend of Merlot, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah, along with the increasingly popular Rosé. In addition to top-quality wines, visitors can enjoy wine tastings, offering a unique opportunity to experience the authentic flavors of this exceptional terroir.
