Burica Winery

Vicko Burica, a winemaker from Grohote on the island of Šolta, has been successfully running his family winery for a decade. With patience and dedication, he is building his wine story, recognized by locals, tourists, and restaurants serving his wines. He currently manages three vineyards – two in the Šolta field and one slightly south-facing near Nečujam. He cultivates a total of 4,300 vines of Dobričić, Maraština, and Merlot, expecting an annual production of around 5,000 bottles in a few years. Inheriting a passion for viticulture from his grandfather and father, Burica has been involved in vineyard work and wine production since childhood. He wisely invested grant funds in high-quality equipment. Thanks to his dedication and expertise, he successfully markets all his produced wine, which speaks volumes about its quality. Vicko Burica is one of the pioneers in revitalizing Dobričić on Šolta, alongside the Kaštelanac, Balić, and Purtić families. His wines are aged for at least three years, enhancing their refinement. He plans further investments, including purchasing stainless steel tanks, upgrading the winery, cellar, and terrace, and developing new wine labels.
