On Saint Clement, the largest island of the Pakleni archipelago near Hvar, lie the vineyards of Nikola Colnago, the owner and winemaker of Colnago Winery. This boutique winery cultivates indigenous varieties such as Plavac Mali, Pošip, and Bogdanuša, with additional grapes sourced from the Hvar wine-growing region. Although their annual production is currently modest, at just 1,500 liters of premium wine, Nikola emphasizes that quality takes precedence over quantity. Colnago Winery offers four wine labels, including red and white wines made from Plavac Mali, Pošip, and Maraština, along with two dessert wine labels. Visitors can taste these wines at their elegant wine & snack bar on Saint Clement, where simple yet delicious fish and meat menus complement the experience.
