Degarra Winery

Degarra Winery, founded in 2012, is located in Zadar, where the Pestić and Šulentić families recognized the immense potential of this region in viticulture and winemaking and decided to pursue their dream. The name Degarra comes from the French term “Vin de Garage,” which refers to small, passionate producers of limited-edition high-quality wines, often among the best in the world. The grapes for Degarra wines come from the best vineyards in Ravni Kotari, as well as from their own vineyard in Bokanjac. Their first wine, Bonterra, symbolizes “Bonne Terre”, meaning good soil, from which the grapes for this premium blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah are sourced. In a short time, it conquered the market and delighted wine lovers. Today, the winery offers seven wine labels: alongside Bonterra, there are Bomary, an aromatic fruit wine with Maraska cherry, Primo, a sparkling wine made from the Pošip variety, as well as Maraština 2021, Pošip 2021, and Rosé, made from the indigenous variety Plavina, with a small addition of Cabernet Sauvignon, and Garageist Bili. The Garageist Bili 2016 wine, made from Maraština, achieved outstanding success at the Decanter 2021 competition, earning an impressive 96 points. In addition to their top-quality wines, Degarra Winery also offers wine tastings, providing a unique opportunity to experience the wines of the Zadar wine region.
