About winery
The Duboković Winery is located in Jelsa on the island of Hvar and proudly upholds a long family tradition of viticulture and winemaking, which Ivo Duboković has decided to continue with dedication. The vineyards are spread across the sunny southern slopes of Hvar and its central areas. The winery produces between 15,000 and 20,000 liters of wine annually and is recognized on the market for its ten labels. Among them, the iconic Plavac Mali wines “Medvid” and “Medvjedica” stand out, made from grapes grown on the prestigious Medvid Bod vineyard site. In addition to Plavac Mali, the winery cultivates indigenous white varieties such as Bogdanuša, Maraština, Kuč, and Prč, which are used to create the dessert wine called “Prvi Poljubac” (“First Kiss”). Visitors can enjoy these exceptional wines in a tasting room set in a traditional Dalmatian tavern over 70 years old, blending history, tradition, and a passion for winemaking.
