About winery

Lacman Winery, located in the village of Selca on the island of Hvar, represents the realization of a long-held dream. After achieving success in a completely different field—organizing MICE events and leading wine tours on Hvar—Ante Lacman decided to return to his roots. Inspired by the organic winemaking movement discovered in Slovenia, he dedicated himself to natural wine production. His approach is based on principles of no chemicals, no filtration, and no shortcuts, emphasizing simplicity, purity, and authenticity. The winery exclusively uses the highest quality grapes, grown by local suppliers who are more than business partners—they are lifelong friends of the family. The entire process is guided by sustainability principles, ensuring that every bottle reflects the unique character of Hvar and the care poured into each drop. The winery stands out on the market with eight wine labels:
Lacman Dama Barrique 2022: A blend of indigenous white varieties—Bogdanuša, Maraština, Pošip, and Kuč.
Esenca: A dry red wine made from 100% Plavac Mali.
Lacman Friška 2023: A light and fresh white wine made from Maraština, Pošip, and Bogdanuša.
Lacmanuša: A dry white wine made from 100% Bogdanuša, macerated for seven days with its skin.
Moca: A rosé wine made from 75% Plavac Mali and 25% Darnekuša.
Lacman Popola Amfora 2021: A unique blend of Maraština from the island’s southern fields and Bogdanuša, aged in amphorae.
Predobro: A varietal wine made from 100% Plavac Mali.
Težok: A macerated dry white wine made from 100% Pošip.
In its rustic space, the winery also offers wine tastings, providing visitors with the opportunity to enjoy the flavors of Hvar through authentic and meticulously crafted wines.
