About winery
Elvis Nimčević Winery is located in the renowned wine micro-location of Nadin, in the Zadar hinterland. Brothers Elvis and Marko continue the family winemaking tradition started by their father, Miljenko, who previously planted 10,000 Grenache vines. Today, alongside 5,400 remaining Grenache vines, their vineyards include 2,000 Pošip, 1,600 Maraština, and 2,100 Syrah vines, with a special focus on the indigenous Svrdlovina variety, which is gaining in importance. Their dedication has earned numerous awards at prestigious competitions, including a champion medal for their young Merlot at the Sabatina in 2019. In 2023, they organized the first Rural Products Fair in their village and regularly participate in winemaking education organized by the Zadar County. The Nimčević winery offers four wine labels: Pošip Nimčević 2022, Grenache Rosé, a Merlot and Syrah blend, and Cuvée Barrique 2018 made from Merlot, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
