OPG Ivica Radunić Winery

OPG Ivica Radunić is located in Kaštel Štafilić, in the Bijaći area, where the vineyard thrives on land with a long tradition of vine and olive cultivation. In the past, vineyards occupied the central part of the land, while olive trees were planted around them—a practice rarely seen today due to plantation-style farming. This estate is home to one thousand vines of Kaštelanski Crljenak and around forty olive trees. With the help of his family and dedicated work, Ivica successfully balances viticulture with his firefighting profession. A particularly proud discovery was made in the older part of his vineyard—8 to 9 vines of Crljenak, confirmed by DNA analysis to be identical to the legendary American Zinfandel. The first official label, Kaštelanski Crljenak, was introduced in 2015. Before that, the wine was sold only in bulk, but over time, the importance of bottling and branding became evident. The label carries symbolism—seven blue berries represent the seven Kaštela, while the bottom highlights the Kaštela-Trogir wine region and the scenic view of the sea, Čiovo, and Marjan visible from the vineyard.
