Perišin Winery

Vlado Perišin, president of the “Kaštelanski Crljenak” association, runs a winery located in Kaštel Kambelovac. Although he spent 23 years in trade, his love for the land and hard work led him to viticulture. On 8,500 vines, he cultivates indigenous Croatian varieties – Crljenak, Maraština, and Pošip, and since last year, also Plavac Mali and Dobričić. Recently, he took over a neglected state-owned plot under concession and plans to increase the number of vines by another 5,000 over the next two years, including native varieties such as Ninčuša, Glavinuša, and Babica. His wines are produced traditionally, with special attention to preserving the character of the terroir. His labels include Kaštelanski Crljenak, Lazarus (premium Crljenak), Opol (rosé from Crljenak), Maraština, and Pošip. The winery also offers Prošek, a Dalmatian dessert wine made from dried grapes of the highest quality varieties. Perišin’s wines can be purchased directly from a small winery in the ground floor of the family home, and the tradition will not end with him—his son Ivan is already taking the lead in the family business. Passionately dedicated to winemaking, Ivan studied phytopharmacy and modernized sales by enabling wine purchases via social media. Guests who wish to visit the winery and taste the wines are always warmly welcomed.
