Ponos Winery

Ponos Winery is a small family-owned winery located in Potomje, on the Pelješac Peninsula. Their first commercial vintage was in 2008, and they specialize in producing wine exclusively from the Plavac Mali grape variety. The grapes come solely from their own vineyards, carefully tended by the owners, Ivo and Ines. The winery’s story is deeply rooted in the rich tradition of the Pelješac region—when wine was once transported down steep and narrow paths to ports for trade, caravans of pack animals (most often mules) were formed, known locally as “ponos.” Today, the winery offers three labels of Plavac Mali, sourced from different vineyard sites, including the prestigious Dingač location.
