Šarić Winery

In the hidden fields and valleys of Lastovo lies the secret of the Šarić winery’s success. In these areas, ancestors carefully cultivated vineyards, planting the first vines of Rukatac and Plavac Mali. Preserving a centuries-old family tradition, their descendants began restoring vineyards and modernizing grape processing in 1992. The traditional sale of wine was replaced with bottling under their own label, Ladest. In 2008, the renovation of the wine cellar was completed, transforming the historic foundation into a modern winery that blends family heritage with new products and opportunities. Located at the foot of Lastovo, in the Gornja Luka area—known for the descent of the Poklad during the carnival—the winery nurtures authentic wine production. Stainless steel tanks are used to store fresh white wine Rukatac and rosé wine Opolo, while Slavonian oak barrels enable the traditional production of red wines Plavac Mali and, more recently, Merlot. For wine enthusiasts, the winery offers organized tastings of premium and quality wines, accompanied by homemade delicacies and stories about the cellar and wine production. With a focus on tradition, quality, and warm hospitality, the selection includes premium wines Rukatac, Plavac Mali, and Merlot, as well as quality rosé wine Opolo.
