Slamić Winery

Slamić Winery is a family winery whose story began almost by chance. The Slamić family has been tied to the village and agriculture for generations, engaging in livestock farming, viticulture, and olive growing. In the early 1970s, young family members, including Dane Slamić, the current owner of the winery, left for abroad, where they built successful careers in hospitality. After returning to Croatia in 1993, Dane Slamić purchased Hotel Borovnik in Tisno and, following his father’s passing, inherited a vineyard. Initially, the vineyard was cared for by neighbors, but after their passing, he took on the responsibility himself. Today, the Slamić family vineyards span several smaller locations in the Šibenik hinterland, with a total of approximately 6,000 grapevines. The winery produces several premium wines, including the sparkling wine Didin San, made using the traditional method from the indigenous varieties Trbljan, Debit, Maraština, and Pošip. Their cuvée Ćaćin San combines the same local grape varieties, while the selection also includes a rosé from Babić, as well as single-varietal wines Syrah and Babić. The wines can be tasted and purchased at Hotel Borovnik in Tisno and selected restaurants in Šibenik, Karlovac, and Hvar. Today, Dane Slamić is joined by his son Davor in managing the winery, continuing the family tradition.
