Bolfan Vinski vrh Winery

Bolfan Vinski Vrh Winery, located in Hrašćina in the Hrvatsko Zagorje region, was established in 2006 and has been committed to organic and biodynamic grape cultivation and wine production from the very beginning. Surrounded by the four highest peaks of Central Croatia – Ivančica, Medvednica, Kalnik, and Strahinjčica – the winery sits at 350 meters above sea level, in the heart of its own vineyards. The wine cellar, designed to meet the highest technological standards, combines modern methods with proven traditional techniques to bring out the full aromatic and flavor potential of the grapes. A constant breeze from Ivančica and Strahinjčica provides ideal conditions for healthy organic viticulture. Since 2009, all vineyards have been certified organic. The vineyards cover 20 hectares, situated at elevations between 250 and 380 meters, with south and southeast exposure and slopes averaging 16–30%, ensuring optimal grape quality. The soil consists of marl, loamy sands, and loamy limestones, with a planting density of 5,000 vines per hectare. White grape varieties make up 77% of the vineyard and include Graševina, Traminer, Rhine Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, Yellow Muscat, Müller-Thurgau (Rizvanac), and Chardonnay. Red varieties include Blaufränkisch (Frankovka), Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Portugieser. Bolfan wines are known for two distinctive lines – the light and fresh Bolfan line and the premium Bolfan Primus line. The winery has earned international acclaim, including medals at the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards.
