Dvanajščak Kozol Winery

Dvanajščak Kozol Winery is one of the younger wine-growing and winemaking families in Međimurje, but their wine story is marked by dedication and continuous progress. The foundations of winemaking were laid by Rajka and Zdravko, who planted their first vines between 1990 and 1992, continuing the tradition of their parents. They started professional winemaking in 1996 when they acquired the right to the geographical origin. Today, they cultivate 11 hectares of vineyards on excellent, sunny, and elevated positions near Dragoslavec, on the Grofovo, Okrugli Vrh, and Mohokos sites. Mohokos, at 344.40 meters above sea level, is the highest point of Međimurje. The most significant variety they grow is the indigenous Pušipel, known for its ability to age for a long time and create complex wines. The wines are divided into two lines – the Quality Line and the Special Line. The Quality Line includes ten labels made from varieties: graševina, pinot noir, white and grey pinot, pušipel, sauvignon blanc, muscat yellow, and traminer. The Special Line includes four labels: Pinot Blanc, Natura (from the sauvignon blanc variety), Amaranth (from the pinot noir variety), and Pušipel Prestige. Over the years, their wines have won numerous awards, including prestigious medals at Decanter. In the beautifully decorated wine tasting room, they offer local products and cold dishes, making a visit to the winery a complete experience.
