Furjan Winery

The Furjan family’s wine story began about fifteen years ago when Boris Furjan, driven by a love for wine, turned a hobby into a passion for winemaking. His vision and dedication are now carried forward by his son Tomislav, a trained agronomist who leads the winery today. The Furjan family continues to invest in expanding their vineyards and modernizing production, with the goal of crafting top-quality wines recognized throughout the Varaždin region and beyond. Their vineyards are located along the Klampotić wine road, on the slopes of Falinić Breg, where excellent sun exposure and modern vinification methods allow for the production of unique wines. The most represented grape varieties in their vineyards are Graševina, Muškat Žuti, Sauvignon, Pinot Blanc, and Šipon. Furjan wines bear labels of controlled geographical origin and protected designation of origin. The winery offers five wine labels—two white wines (Sauvignon Blanc and Muškat Žuti) and three sparkling wines. Their Rosé Tradition Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut 2021 sparkling wine was awarded a gold medal at the prestigious Decanter competition, confirming the family’s dedication and expertise. As Tomislav Furjan notes, sparkling wines have become their way of life, with 90% of future production planned in that direction.
