About winery
Glavica Winery is located in Gornja Gračenica, where the Glavica family cultivates around 3 hectares of their own vineyards, some of which are over fifty years old. On the beautiful slopes of Mramor Hill, the family is also planting new vines, preserving tradition while investing in the future. In 2015, they established their family farm (OPG), and by 2019, they earned an organic certification, demonstrating their commitment to sustainable wine production. The most prominent grape variety at Glavica Winery is the indigenous Moslavina variety Škrlet, which holds a special place in their portfolio. In addition to Škrlet, visitors can also enjoy wines made from Graševina, Yellow Muscat, and Frankovka.
Since 2023, the winery proudly holds the prestigious Demeter certification for biodynamic production, along with its organic certification, further emphasizing their dedication to environmental preservation and natural winemaking methods. All grape varieties are cultivated without the use of pesticides or chemicals, and the winemaking processes in the cellar strictly follow eco-friendly principles. The young owner, Antun Glavica, highlights that an organic wine certification can only be obtained when all vineyard and cellar processes comply with ecological standards — underlining the winery’s serious and responsible approach to every step of production. The winery offers eight wine labels, including: Mramor Collis White – a blend of indigenous varieties Škrlet, Moslavac, and Graševina, Mramor Collis Red – based predominantly on 90% Frankovka, with a blend of other red varieties, Škrlet – the native variety of Moslavina, Graševina, Frankovka, Škrlet Amfora and Yellow Muscat.
OPG Glavica is proud to be the first certified organic wine producer in Moslavina, and their Škrlet is recognized as the first Croatian (and global) Škrlet with an organic label. Over the years, Glavica wines have won numerous awards, including honors from the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards, further affirming the quality and passion behind each bottle.
