Kolarić Winery

Kolarić Winery, located in the heart of Plešivica, is a leading Croatian producer of Pinot Gris. Mr. Kolarić produces this exceptional Pinot in various styles and price ranges, from traditionally vinified sparkling wines to premium labels of classic still wines and excellent wines from amphorae. The first Pinot Gris from Kolarić’s amphorae won a bronze medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards. Their premium wines and sparkling wines are sold under the Coletti brand, which has quickly become well-known on the Croatian restaurant market. The Kolarić family has a long tradition in viticulture and winemaking, with their vineyards located in the Svetojančica wine-growing valley, renowned for its ideal conditions for vine cultivation. They own about 30,000 vines on 6 hectares of vineyards, producing approximately 30,000 liters of wine annually. The Kolarić family’s wine cellar is located in the small village of Hrastje, at the foot of Japetić Mountain, an ideal place for enjoying pristine nature and fresh air. Visitors can taste their top-quality wines and sparkling wines. Wine production at Kolarić Winery is based on various methods, including cold maceration, sur-lie processes, and vinification in amphorae. In the winery’s cellar, there is an amphora with a capacity of 1,200 liters, in which 3 tons of premium grapes ferment before further processing. After fermentation, the wine ages for another two years in wooden barrels and several months in bottles. The final product is a white wine with an orange color, obtained through fermentation on the skins, giving it a strong and full taste, almost without aroma. In addition to the Coletti Amfora Pinot Grigio 2018, which many consider a wine with great potential, the winery’s offer includes 9 wine labels, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, and old Plešivica varieties.
