Lešćanec Winery

Lešćanec Winery is located on the slopes of Plešivica, along the Vivodina wine road near Ozalj. The vineyards sit on elevated terrain, approximately 300 meters above sea level, in a region with a long winemaking tradition where knowledge is passed down through generations—just as it is in the Lešćanec family. As a family-run winery, every member contributes, but the heart of the operation is Ljiljana, who oversees both vineyard and cellar. She inherited her expertise from her father, further refined it, and now carries it forward. The winery cultivates 3.5 hectares of vineyards, occasionally purchasing grapes depending on the year and wine demand. Some plots are just 200 meters from the winery, while the majority are located on a hillside about 1.5 kilometers away. The wine portfolio includes Graševina, Riesling, Kerner, and Pinot Gris. Graševina makes up about 80% of total production. A highlight is Kerner, a German aromatic white variety—a cross between Trollinger and Riesling—producing wines similar to Riesling with a gentle Muscat note.
