Maček Winery

Maček Winery, located on the picturesque Okrugli Vrh in Međimurje, is a small family-run winery cultivating 1.5 hectares of vineyards. Its selection includes Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Graševina, and Rhine Riesling. The winery proudly carries the family name “Maček,” which in the local dialect also refers to a domestic cat. Inspired by this dual meaning, their wine labels feature a unique and creative design that resembles a cat, while also evoking sun rays, vineyard rows on rolling hills, and even the mystical aura of ancient Egypt—where cats were considered sacred. This distinctive visual identity earned Maček Winery the award for the most beautiful label at the 54th Exhibition of Continental Croatian Wines in 2022.
