Marinčić Winery – OPG Pranjić from Sisak has a long-standing family tradition in viticulture. Their vineyards are located in Jazvenik, in the Petrinja wine region. The first vineyards came into the family’s possession about thirty years ago. Initially a small vineyard with 800 vines, it was used for personal needs, but in 1990 it expanded to 1,400 vines, marking the beginning of a more serious approach to wine production and market distribution. In 2000, in cooperation with the Faculty of Agriculture in Zagreb and the Institute for Viticulture and Enology, they worked on protecting the geographical origin of their vineyard—the first such protection in the region. Their range highlights Riesling and Frankovka varieties, and over time, the family acquired neighboring vineyards with the indigenous Škrlet variety as well as a new Riesling vineyard. Today, they have about 3,800 vines in production, with an annual output of 3,500 to 4,000 liters of wine. In spring 2008, they planted a new vineyard with 4,500 Graševina vines. Marinčić Winery currently offers six wine labels.
