Najman Winery

The married couple Štefica and Dragutin Najman bought land with a cellar and vineyard in 1983 on a gentle hill above Varaždinske Toplice, to escape the city hustle and bustle and spend weekends in nature, working and relaxing. Štefica was a shopkeeper, and Dragutin was a civil engineer specializing in tunnels and bridges. Their love for nature and the desire to create something with their own hands resulted in high-quality wines, which were quickly recognized among friends and later began winning awards at competitions.
The vineyards, cellar, and beautifully decorated cellar are located at Kubilšćak in Futač, on the Toplička Wine Road, just three kilometers from the city center. Futač, the hill after which the wines are named, also symbolizes a migratory bird – the “pupovac,” a bird with brown feathers, striped black and white wings, and a large tuft on its head, which became their visual identity, along with the Kajkavian slogan “A kaj ve.” This combination has given the winery a striking authentic touch because today, success is not only about the quality of the wine, but also about the overall presentation of the product.
Najman Winery, which has existed since 2006, currently cultivates about 2.5 hectares of vineyards, growing varieties such as Graševina, Riesling, Moslavac, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Portugieser, and Muscat Yellow. Wines from these varieties are bottled, while the white cuvée Toplička Iskra is sold in bulk. They also offer a rosé made from Pinot Noir, as well as a rosé sparkling wine, also made from Pinot Noir. The wines from the Najman Winery are classified as quality wines, fresh, and enjoyable, perfect for indulgence.
