Preiner Winery

The Preiner family farm was established in 2002, laying the foundations for professional wine production rooted in domestic tradition. In 2015, Darko and Štefica passed the winery on to the third generation—son Nenad and his wife Nataša. Thanks to his parents’ efforts in expanding and rejuvenating the vineyards, Nenad was able to fully commit to varietal wine production, releasing his first bottled wine to the market in 2016. The Preiner vineyards are located on the gentle hills of Upper Međimurje, at elevations between 280 and 300 meters. The favorable continental climate and fertile soil create ideal conditions for growing quality grapes, resulting in fresh, light wines. Today, the family cultivates 6 hectares across various locations in the Štrigova region, growing varieties such as Pušipel, Graševina, Riesling, Silvaner, Yellow Muscati, Sauvignon, and Pinot Noir. The winery offers nine labels, including two blends and one sparkling wine. Its logo—a monogram shaped like a shield—embodies the Preiner family’s strength, unity, and playful spirit, with intertwined letters forming the name Preiner.
