Puhelek Purek Winery

Puhelek Purek Winery, located in Sveti Ivan Zelina, has been dedicated to viticulture and winemaking for over a century. The entire Puhelek Purek family is actively involved in the vineyard and wine production, and today the winery is led by Ivana Puhelek, a professor at the University of Zagreb’s Faculty of Agriculture. Her effort and expertise were recognized in 2022 when she won a gold medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards for their 2021 Sauvignon Blanc. The winery focuses on producing top-quality wines in limited batches, with a strong emphasis on excellence. Their offerings include Sauvignon Blanc, the native Kraljevina, Pinot Noir, and the sparkling wine Kraljica, made from the Kraljevina variety. A highlight in the local wine calendar is the Wine Summer Festival, held on the first Saturday of July. This popular event was created by Ivana Puhelek and Ivana Škrlec, director of the event organization company Altera. The festival uniquely blends tradition with a modern approach to wine promotion, placing Sveti Ivan Zelina on the map as an unmissable summer destination for wine lovers and those seeking a great atmosphere.
