The Agricultural Cooperative Ivanec is engaged in various agricultural activities, with viticulture and wine production being one of its main focuses. The cooperative operates on approximately 8 hectares of vineyards located in the exceptional southern and southwestern exposures of the Čardak area near Klenovnik, in the wine-growing region of Haloze. The favorable conditions for grapevine cultivation in this area were recognized as early as 1650, when the Drašković family decided to build a cellar near the Trakošćan and Klenovnik castles. The thick brick walls of the cellar still ensure stable temperature conditions for wine storage and maturation. By investing in modern technology and utilizing knowledge passed down through generations, the cooperative has created the conditions for producing premium wines, a quality that has been confirmed by numerous medals won at exhibitions throughout Croatia. Years of experience have established the ideal pairing of varieties and terroir, particularly for Pinot Blanc, Rhine Riesling, Yellow Muscat, Traminer, Moslavac, Pinot Noir, and Syrah. The cooperative cares for around 37,000 vines across approximately 8 hectares of vineyards. Access to the wine cellar and hospitality facility is available by bus, and with organized tastings and catering, they can host up to 70 guests. The cooperative’s goal is to offer an authentic wine experience based on rich history, quality, and hospitality.
