Šimanović Winery

Šimanović Winery is located in the village of Kostel Pribićki, near Krašić, and cultivates typical grape varieties of the Krašić region, with a focus on international sorts. The pride of the winery is Frankovka, a variety that best expresses the character of the vineyards and the region. The Šimanović family has been involved in agriculture for generations, but today their focus is entirely on viticulture, covering a total of seven hectares – 5.5 owned and 1.5 rented.
The best vineyard sites are located on the slopes of Rebar and Miranjac. Annual production reaches around 40,000 liters of wine, with cellar capacity for an additional 40,000 liters. The winery is a story of family perseverance – father Stjepan, representing the fourth generation of winemakers, passed down his love for the vineyard to his sons Stjepan and Željko. Today, the winery is led by Iva Šimanović, the sixth generation, with full support from the extended family.
Their selection includes wines made from Sauvignon Blanc, Blaufränkisch, Frankovka, Traminer, Riesling, and Pinot Noir. Notable labels include Kostel, a sparkling wine made from Chardonnay (disgorged in 2022), and Ice Wine Graševina 2019. Over the years, their wines have won hundreds of medals, plaques, and awards, including the county champion title three times and numerous champion accolades at competitions throughout Croatia – from local contests to those in Split and Dubrovnik.
