About winery
Vučinić Winery is a family estate with a long-standing tradition of viticulture and winemaking, passed down through generations. The Vučinić family has been involved in wine production for hundreds of years. The father of the family, Mirko Vučinić, was among the first on Plešivica to bottle his wines—Graševina and Kraljevina—which earned him numerous awards and recognitions. His legacy is continued by his son Zdenko, with strong support from the family, especially the next generation: Marko, Marija, and Matija.
The vineyards are located on the slopes of the Plešivica-Okić wine region, where the family cultivates indigenous varieties such as Portugizac and Plavec Žuti, as well as high-quality varieties like Muscat Traminac, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay. Today, the winery offers six wine labels based on Portugizac, Muscat Traminac, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Plavec Žuti.
In 2013, their Cabernet Sauvignon label won the prestigious “Drago Režek” award for best wine label in a competition held by the Club of Good Wine Friends. Three years later, in 2016, their sparkling Portugizac “Crna Perla Brut” was named the best sparkling wine.
