Vuglec Breg Winery

Vuglec Breg Winery, located near Škarićevo, close to Krapina, began its viticulture journey in 2003. Boris Vuglec, the founder and director, works alongside his children, Nives Vuglec Antolić and Mario Vuglec, in the family business. On about 4 hectares of land, approximately 16,000 vines were planted, laying the foundation for the production of premium wines and sparkling wines. Vuglec Breg offers a wide range of wines, including Chardonnay, Riesling, Graševina, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat, Pinot Noir, Frankovka, and Cabernet Sauvignon. In addition to the wines and sparkling wines, the winery includes a restaurant, a meeting hall, and several traditional Zagorje-style “hiže” for accommodation, making it a popular weekend destination near Zagreb. The “Vino Zagorski Bregi” project brings together winemakers and promotes old varieties like Kraljevina and Moslavac from the Zagorje hills.
