Žabić Winery

Žabić Winery is located in the heart of Moslavina, in the picturesque village of Kapelica, where the Žabić family has been nurturing a tradition of viticulture for generations. The small family vineyard has grown into a plantation of 6,000 vines of various varieties, covering 1.08 hectares. Among these, the indigenous Moslavina variety Škrlet stands out, one of the rarest Croatian autochthonous varieties, with planting material obtained through clonal selection from the Faculty of Agriculture in Zagreb.
The wines are carefully stored and matured in the wine cellar, with the 2003 Chardonnay vintage being one of the special wines of the winery and the oldest wine in their archive. Other varieties in the offer include Graševina, a widespread variety in continental Croatia, and globally recognized varieties such as Chardonnay and Riesling. The winery also offers Haskap – a fruit wine made from Siberian blueberries, with an intense purple-red color that competes with any “full-bodied” red wine, and its aroma and complexity rival any Traminer and Sauvignon.
