About winery
Željko Gašparinčić Winery is located in the village of Šenkovec. Although still relatively unknown to the broader public, it is a dedicated family-run winery managed by Željko and his son Josip. They cultivate a total of 2.5 hectares of vineyards across four locations, with around 10,000 vines. The largest vineyard covers 1.5 hectares. Their white varieties include Graševina, Sauvignon Blanc, Rizvanac, Pinot Blanc, Yellow Muscat, Traminer, and Riesling, while red varieties include Portugieser and Blaufränkisch. In 2013, their predicate Graševina earned an impressive 92 points at the Decanter World Wine Awards. The winery has a total capacity of about 25,000 liters and produces approximately 15,000 liters of wine annually. Although winemaking is not their primary profession, tending to the vineyards and cellar is a daily commitment and a long-standing family tradition.
