Benazić Winery

Three generations of the Benazić family are involved in the cultivation of grapes and the production of wine and spirits. In the 1960s, Tone Benazić moved to Pula for work but maintained his connection to his native region, where the winemaking tradition has been nurtured for generations.
The Benazić family winery in Pula is unique because its vineyards are located in the micro-location of Sveta Katarina in the municipality of Pićan, while the wine cellar is situated in the Valdabek neighborhood of Pula. Today, the Benazić winery cultivates seven hectares of vineyards on red soil, with a focus on indigenous varieties such as Istrian Malvasia and Teran, along with Yellow Muscat, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The winery offers twelve labels of wine and six labels of spirits. Adjacent to the cellar is a well-appointed and elegant tasting room where guided tastings are organized, allowing visitors to sample all the winery’s products along with delicious snacks.
