About winery
The tradition of winemaking and grape growing in the Benvenuti family has been going on for many generations, since 1946., as in other families in Kaldir, a small village near Motovun, known for viticulture and fruit growing. At the beginning of this century, Livio Benvenuti, together with his sons Alberto and Nikola, started a small family winery, with the first wine introduced to the market in 2003. Since then, the Benvenuti Winery has been on a constant rise, regularly launching new labels every few years. They started with two wine labels, fresh Istrian Malvasia and Teran aged in wood barrels, and today they are present on the market with three wine lines. In their traditional line, fresh Istrian Malvasia, Rose, cuvee of international grape varieties and Teran, and the sweet blend Corona Grande stand out. Aged Malvasia and Teran from the Anno Domini line confirm their quality every year and have won numerous awards. The pinnacle of the winery consists of three labels from the Single Vineyard line that are released only in the best vintages: Santa Elisabetta Teran,San Salvatore Muscat and San Salvatore Malvasia.
