Cuj Winery

Cuj Winery is located in the small Istrian village of Farnižane, near Umag. It was opened in 2005 under the guidance of Danijel Kraljević, his wife Antonija, and their children Lana and Evan. This winery cherishes a long family tradition of wine production. The name “Cuj” comes from Danijel’s grandfather, Augusto, a passionate viticulturist who often used the phrase “Cuj, cuj da ti rečem” (Listen, listen, let me tell you).
Cuj wines are produced from three unique terroirs: red soil (Baština and Vela Boška), grey soil (Santa Lucia with its mineral flysch), and black soil (Bon Markeze). They are particularly proud of their Malvasia, Muscat, and Teran wines. The vineyards cover an area of 10 hectares.
In addition to wine production, they also produce olive oil, and from 2023, they offer guest rooms, providing an authentic B&B experience.
