Dobravac Winery

In the early 1950s, Gašpar and Foška Dobravac moved to Rovinj and began engaging in what they had learned from their families – agriculture. Their hard work and dedication led them to become well-known, especially for producing fruit and vegetables, while winemaking initially played a smaller role.
Their son Damir took over the family estate in the 1990s and continued the family’s legacy, raising the estate to a new level. Over the past decade, the family has increasingly focused on winemaking, while the agricultural activities have gradually diminished. In addition to wine production, the Dobravac family also operates the boutique hotel Villa Dobravac, offering stunning views of Rovinj, where guests can enjoy exceptional accommodation and delicacies from the family estate.
Dobravac wines are distinctive not only for their quality but also for their musical names. Inspired by a suggestion from their cousin, renowned Rovinj composer Massimo Brajković, the wines are named in a way that mirrors the progression of music, from lighter to more complex notes. The range begins with the light Malvasias Suite and Sonata, moves on to the aged varieties Sonata Riserva, Simminor, and Symphony, followed by sweet wines, and concludes with the red Toccata and Fugue. The pinnacle of the collection is the Teran Gašpar, dedicated by Damir to his father.
