Fakin Winery

The Fakin family has been living in Bataja below Motovun for 300 years, having settled here in the 17th century. Their vineyards span across various altitudes, with Monte Bred standing out as a truly unique location for vine cultivation at around 200 meters above sea level in the Motovun wine region. This position, bathed in sunlight throughout the day, offers an impressive view of the historic Motovun. The Fakin family winery is the only one from Croatia to have won the gold medal at the Decanter, the largest and most prestigious wine competition in the world, for six consecutive years. While adhering to tradition, they are also open to new ideas and technologies, combining both traditional and modern methods in winemaking, thus following global trends.In their offer, they have three wine lines: Fakin Limited Edition, Fakin Single Vineyard, and Fakin Premium. In these lines, they offer grape varieties such as Malvasia, Teran, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Yellow Muscat.
