Gortan Winery is located in the picturesque small Istrian village of Lovrin, not far from Pazin. Their vineyards stretch across 15 hectares of land, with over 50,000 grapevines. These vineyards cultivate varieties characteristic of the region, including Istrian Malvasia, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Within their cellar, which has a capacity of 80,000 liters, there is an elegant tasting room. Here, visitors can enjoy tasting premium wines with expert guidance from the staff, immersed in a pleasant atmosphere and surrounded by the beauty of Istrian nature.

Tastings, visits and bookings are arranged directly with the winery. Croatian Wineries does not take reservations.

Marijan Gortan

Marijan Gortan, the owner of Gortan Winery, reveals how the entire family is involved in grapevine cultivation and wine production, continuing the family tradition. Their goal is to expand capacities and increase wine production. Marijan fell in love with viticulture and winemaking 40 years ago, at the age of 15, when he saw how the dedicated work of his parents and the gifts of nature together create a premium product. He decided to continue his education in that direction to become educated for the job his family and he now live off. Since then, Marijan has worked enthusiastically in viticulture and winemaking.
