Mario Peršurić Winery

The family winery Mario Peršurić, with a heritage spanning centuries, is located in the village of Ženodraga in the Višnjan municipality. This region has always been dedicated to various forms of agriculture, including farming, viticulture, and olive growing. Historically, the Peršurić family cultivated wheat and raised cattle, but for the past thirty years, they have focused entirely on viticulture and olive growing.
Today, the Peršurić family tends to around fifteen hectares of vineyards, planted on fertile red soil at an altitude of 120 meters, perfectly positioned from east to west to maximize sunlight. Their vineyards are situated in the micro-locations of Lokvina, Prcanka, and Kanal. They cultivate a diverse range of grape varieties, including white varieties like istrian malvasia, chardonnay, and yellow muscat, and red varieties such as borgonja, teran, and cabernet sauvignon. They market about ten different wine labels.Half of their production is bottled, while the other half is sold as open wine. Their fresh istrian malvasia, which has received numerous local and international accolades, and their cabernet sauvignon, which consistently delivers outstanding results in the Višnjan area, are particularly noteworthy. At the Istrian Vinistra, they won a gold medal for their 2023 yellow Muscat.
