Novacco Winery

Family Novacco has been dedicated to winemaking in the village of Fernetići since 1837, representing one of Istria’s oldest traditions. Matteo Novacco initiated the endeavor by planting the first vineyards on fertile red soil and expanding wine distribution to Trieste and Koper. Despite turbulent times, the Novacco generations have remained steadfast in their passion for viticulture. In 2008, young winemaker Dario Novacco took over the reins from his father, Klaudio, introducing innovations that elevated the business. Today, the winery encompasses 10 hectares of vineyards and 2 hectares of olive groves, involving the entire family. Their wine selection includes indigenous Istrian varieties such as Istrian Malvasia, Sauvignon Blanc, Yellow Muscat, and Burgundy, presented through four distinct labels. Their Istrian Malvasia has garnered numerous awards, while their sauvignon blanc, a long-standing favorite, is renowned for its exceptional taste and quality.
