About winery
In 2020, Milan Budinski started his own wine production in collaboration with the renowned Istrian winery Veralda, using part of their cellar. He plans to build his own winery and cultivate his own vineyards but currently purchases grapes from the best locations around Buje. His brand is named OMO, which means “man” in the local dialect. Currently, two labels are available on the market: Istrian Malvasia and Refosco, with Teran in the pipeline. Milan’s concept is focused on the production of aged wines, believing that this approach maximizes the full potential of these noble grape varieties. OMO wines are produced in small batches, with the first vintage released to the market in 2020. Producing approximately 4,000 bottles per vintage, Milan partners with local vineyards and uses a section of the cellar at the renowned Veralda Winery.
