Pilato Winery

The Pilato family winery, located in the village of Lašići near Vižinada, carries a rich agricultural tradition. The first vineyard was planted by Ivan Pilato in 1934. In the 1960s, his son Končeto expanded the vineyards, laying the foundations for what is today one of the most significant wineries in Istria.
In the 1990s, Končeto’s son Eliđo took over the winery, expanded the varietal range, and won a gold medal for his wine at the first Vinistra in 1994. Today, Eliđo’s children, Karin, Sanjin, and Sanja, are gradually taking over the management, ensuring a bright future for the winery.
Pilato Winery now cultivates about twenty hectares of vineyards and offers around ten wine labels, with a focus on white wines. They produce Istrian Malvasia in both fresh and aged varieties, while international varieties like Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Sauvignon Blanc are produced in fresh versions only. Their red wines include Teran, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, along with the Grand Cuvee, a blend of these three varieties.
The selection is complemented by the sparkling wine “Principe” and the elegant rosé “Terosa,” as well as two labels of dessert wines based on White Muscat – a fresh version and “Serafin,” made from dried grapes. Pilato Winery is a blend of rich tradition and modern innovation, reflecting the essence of Istrian winemaking.
