Poletti Winery

Family winery Poletti from Markovac near Višnjan has been nurturing its tradition of winemaking and viticulture since as far back as 1842. That year, Piero Bernobich purchased land and built a house with a winery, which is now successfully managed by his descendant Peter-Piero Poletti, along with his son Matteo and family.
The Poletti family cultivates seven hectares of vineyards planted on deep Istrian red soil, with varieties including Istrian Malvasia, Chardonnay, Teran, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Muscat Rose. For years, they have achieved excellent results with their white wines, especially standing out with Istrian Malvasia offered in both fresh and aged lines. Their red wines are also highly esteemed, with outstanding results achieved with aged Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, winning numerous domestic and international awards.
If you wish to taste Poletti wines, you can directly visit the winery or head to the historic center of Poreč to “Casa Manzolin,” an elegant bistro run by the Poletti family. Here, alongside Poletti wines, you can sample selected wines from the region, paired with exquisite Istrian delicacies.
