Brzica Winery

Brzica Winery is the only one in the Erdut wine region that offers a complete experience for all wine lovers and those who are yet to become one. Vinotel Brzica Aljmaš is located in the heart of Aljmaš, near Osijek and has significant cultural and natural attractions. The property offers modern accommodation with top-notch amenities, ideal for relaxation and exploring the region. Wine tastings are held at the winery, with a selection of eight labels. The premium wines include Cuvee Rendezvous 2012 and 2020, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Vranac, as well as Merlot 2012. The white wines include Chardonnay and Graševina, while the selection also features a rosé wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon. The red wines include Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyards are located on the southern slopes of Erdut Hill, a unique wine region surrounded by the Danube on three sides. Two-thirds of the vineyard is planted with red varieties – Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Vranac, while the white varieties are dominated by Graševina and Chardonnay. Although planting mostly red varieties in a region known for white wines was an unusual decision, numerous awards confirm that the soil and climate of the Erdut wine region are also ideal for red wines. The family estate of Snježana and Ivo Brzica has invested years of hard work and passion into their vineyards and wine production, earning them numerous awards and recognitions. The winery produces around 25,000 bottles of wine annually but aims to focus on smaller production while enhancing quality, dedicating itself exclusively to premium wines. Although this market segment is highly demanding, high-quality wines represent the best path to a successful future, given the winery’s size.
