About winery

In addition to its excellent wines, Slavonia is increasingly gaining recognition for its outstanding sparkling wines. One of the pioneers in their production is Goran Josipović, owner of the winery Pjenušci i vina Josipović. On 3.5 hectares of vineyards, where Graševina dominates, he creates sparkling wines of unique character, believing that this variety provides an excellent base for sparkling wine production. He graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture in Zagreb, specializing in traditional sparkling wine production, while his wife studied finance at the Faculty of Economics. Throughout their journey, they encountered many skeptics who claimed that producing sparkling wine in Slavonia was a misguided venture because “champagne has never been made here.” However, such doubts only strengthened his determination to think outside the box and offer the market something new and distinctive. His goal was never to create a champagne replica but rather to stay true to his vision and craft an authentic Slavonian sparkling wine. He began commercial production around ten years ago, launching his first sparkling wine in 2004. Today, the winery offers three sparkling wine labels, all made using the traditional bottle fermentation method:
Jazz – an elegant blend of Graševina and Rhine Riesling, offering a harmonious taste and freshness.
Tango – Pinot Gris in a completely new style, with a distinctive reddish hue enhanced through grape maceration, enriching the wine’s aromatic profile.
Time – Merlot in an unusual edition, featuring a striking ruby-red color and aromas of raspberry and strawberry, extracted through maceration.
In addition to sparkling wines, the winery also produces two wine labels – Cabernet Sauvignon and Graševina, completing its unique winemaking story.
