Perak Winery

Perak Winery, located in the heart of Slavonia, is known for its premium wines crafted by enologist Ivica Perak. The winery comes from an old Kutjevo wine-growing region and a family that has been engaged in viticulture and winemaking for generations. The winery currently owns 12 hectares of vineyards, with the oldest plantings dating back to 1968, and the most recent planting took place in 2014. The Perak vineyards are situated on the southern slopes of Krndija, between Kutjevo and Vetovo, at an altitude of 220 to 300 meters above sea level. These vineyards are located in the best wine-growing locations of the Kutjevo wine region, including Mitrovac, Lukač, and Vetovo. All vineyards are within a three to seven-kilometer radius, which ensures excellent conditions for wine production. The most common grape variety in the vineyards is Graševina, which makes up 70% of the planting. The winery has based its production on this variety, as it has proven to be highly suitable for the Kutjevo climate. Graševina produces dry, quality, premium, and predicate wines, and thanks to this variety, Perak Winery has gained a recognizable status in the wine industry. The production at Perak Winery is dominated by premium wines, which account for about 60% of total production, with the remaining portion being quality wines. Among their wines are premium Graševina, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and red wines such as Merlot, Cuvee Crni, Rosé, and Merlot. The winery currently offers ten labels, and in addition to the mentioned varieties, they also offer Traminac and Rhein Riesling. Additionally, Perak Winery offers a sparkling wine produced by the traditional bottle fermentation method from Graševina grapes harvested in 2015, with tirage liqueur made from the ice wine of Graševina from the same year. This sparkling wine features fruity aromas and a golden color. Perak Winery also takes pride in its successes at domestic and international competitions, where their wines have won numerous medals and championship titles. Among these accolades is the champion title for Graševina 2008, which won the award for the best white wine at Vinovita 2010, in a competition with 173 white wine samples from nine countries. In addition, Perak wines regularly receive recognition at county and regional competitions, as well as international events such as Maribor, BonaVita – Trnava, Gast – Split, and Decanter. The quality of their wines and years of dedicated work have resulted in Perak Winery occupying a significant position in the wine scene and market.
