Svijetli dvori Winery

Svijetli dvori Winery is located in the heart of the Baranja village of Karanac, a well-known ethno village and tourist destination. The vineyard’s name, “Svijetli dvori,” dates back to the Hungarian rule when it was called “Vilagos Var.” Although the manor no longer exists, the old cellar – gator, a 46-meter-deep well, and a roadside monument from 1846, erected by order of an Austro-Hungarian army colonel, have been preserved. The winery’s operations began in 2010, with the first wines produced from the 2012 harvest. The first vineyard was planted in 2007 on 4.5 hectares, and initially, the grapes were sold to Belje and Erdut cellars. Following early successes and award-winning wines, production soon expanded. By 2014, the winery’s capacity grew to 12,000 liters, and in 2016, an additional 8.5 hectares of vineyards were acquired. Today, the winery covers 13 hectares of vineyards located in the Hunjar, Kamenac Planina, Nađlaz, and Perešev Brijeg areas. The vineyards are exposed to the sun all day, allowing for the cultivation of high-quality grapevines. Currently, the vineyards hold 52,000 vines aged between 7 and 12 years, with a total winery capacity of 70,000 liters. Graševina dominates the assortment, known for its consistent yield and high-quality grapes. Other cultivated varieties include Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Traminac, Muškat Žuti, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery offers 12 wine labels, including a premium line with three labels: Selected Harvest Graševina, Late Harvest Graševina, and Selected Harvest Chardonnay. The selection also includes red wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Rosé, along with seven white wine labels. The winery features a tasting room where visitors can enjoy wine tastings and experience a blend of rich tradition and premium quality.
